Andreakis Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
From November - February 2024/2025, the olives will be harvested by hand using the classic Cretan method and cold pressed within 24 hours. This ensures a slightly mild, spicy taste and a very low acidity of ~0.3%, thus achieving the Ultra Premium Extra Virgin quality level.
Bitter notes in olive oil indicate particularly high quality. This is due to plant substances, known as polyphenols. The higher their content in olive oil, the more bitter it tastes. Only particularly gentle production processes preserve the plant substances in olive oil.
After a few weeks of standing, during which the olive oil has time to settle, it is then bottled by hand and is ready for sale and consumption.
Important for us is
that our olive trees are free
of chemicals (fertilizers, insect pesticides). They are natural, like the olive trees that have been growing here on the island of Crete for thousands of years.
